Step into the ancient rainforest of Danum Valley Field Centre (DVFC) for an authentic wilderness expedition. Located 80 km inland from Lahad Datu, this world-renowned ecological research station protects over 500 species of mammals, birds, and reptiles in an untouched ecosystem.

Lahad Datu to Danum Valley Transfer & Night Safari
Depart Lahad Datu in shared 4WD for the 2.5-hour gravel journey into Danum Valley. Check in at Field Centre, enjoy lunch at dining hall veranda. Afternoon nature trail walk. After dinner, embark on an open-top 4WD Night Safari Drive to spot nocturnal wildlife. [Meals: Lunch, Dinner | Lodging: DVFC]
Morning Bird Watching, Canopy Trails & Night Walk
Early morning guided bird walk along the suspension bridge canopy. Return for breakfast. Mid-morning hike to ancient burial sites and coffin cliff. Refreshing dip at the river pool. Bukit Atur Sunrise Expedition & Return Transfer
Pre-dawn 4WD drive up Bukit Atur to witness a breathtaking mist-covered sunrise over the rainforest canopy. Return for breakfast, pack gear, check out at 10:30 AM.
